Srinagar, June 9: An FIR has been registered against cleric Sheikh Ghulam Rasool, also known as Hami, following a complaint filed by a woman alleging rape and outraging of modesty.
According to police records, FIR No. 78/2026 has been registered under Sections 376 and 354 of the BNS. The complainant has accused the cleric of sexual assault and related offences.
Police have initiated an investigation into the matter and are examining the allegations.
